Plumbing Repair Glasgow
A leak under the sink. A valve that will not close. A pipe that has gone. I isolate it, find the fault, tell you the price, and repair it on the visit when the part is on the van. Washing machines and dishwashers: the water and waste connections.
Common signs
- Water where it should not be: under a sink, behind a unit, or at a joint
- A burst or split pipe, or a joint that has blown
- Pipework that has to move, or a run that has failed
- A washing machine or dishwasher leaking at the fill or the waste
- A noisy pipe, a hammer, or a supply that has dropped to a trickle
What I check
- Isolation first, so I am not working in a flood
- Where the water is coming from, not just where it is landing
- The joint, washer, valve or length of pipe that has failed
- Whether it is a same-day repair, or a return with a part
- A dry cupboard and a sound joint before I leave
Check my card
Every legitimate gas engineer carries a Gas Safe ID card. Ask to see mine at the door, or check my number before I arrive. If an engineer will not show you a card, do not let them near your gas.
Questions I get asked
Is this the £60 call-out?
Yes. £60 call-out including diagnosis and up to the first hour of labour. Parts extra. Further labour £60/hour. Out of hours call-outs are £90.
What if a pipe has burst?
Shut the stopcock if you can. I make it safe, then repair it. If the run needs replacing, you get that price before I start.
I smell gas. Is this the page?
No. Call 0800 111 999 first. Then use the gas leak repair page. This page is water.
Where I work
